Ilene Therma Cromwell, 90, of Richland, SD passed away at Sanford Vermillion Hospital on Thursday, April 11, 2024.

The third planning meeting for the Akron/Akron-Westfield  All-Class Reunion will be held at the Security National Bank’s  meeting room at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 24, 2024.

Approximately two years ago at the Akron Care Center, a project was started to create a Sensory Room.

Strong winds April 6 took down a tree in the west side of Riverside Cemetery. Gusts were as high as 35 miles per hour in the area. Along with the wind, there was s little bit of spotty hail but not much rain.
