Teenagers from Akron’s First Baptist Church attended a Youth Rally hosted by Bible Baptist Church in Brookings, South Dakota. The event, held over the weekend, offered a day of faith, fellowship and enjoyment.

Scarecrows invade Akron Park for 23rd year

The 23rd annual Great Akron Scarecrow Festival, hosted by the GWC Friendship & Service Club, was held Sept. 16 in the Akron City Park. It was a beautiful day for a festival and a large crowd attended the event. This booth, built by Harold Higman, Jr., greeted visitors in the Akron City Park at the festival.

At the 23rd annual Great Akron Scarecrow Festival, Sue Higman was honored for her many years of service to the Scarecrow Festival and the Friendship & Service Club. The festival was held Sept. 16 in the Akron City Park hosted by the GFWC Friendship and Service Club.
