Akron police seek public’s help to catch thieves

Since June 18, Akron has been plagued with male burglars. Help Akron police catch them.

One man first attempted to open a resident’s back door at 5:30 a.m., June 18. When the owner turned the outside light on, the man ran south toward the drainage ditch along the Akron Golf Course and wasn’t seen the rest of the day.

However, police also received a complaint of cash taken out of a pickup in the 300 block of South Street the night before.

At noon, June 19, a man entered the back door of the Akron Pizza Ranch, talked to the manager about his missing dog. The employees didn’t see the man leave but later discovered cash missing from an employee’s purse. This
