Akron postmaster retires Friday

“I’m going to enjoy the outdoors as much as I can for the most part,” Postmaster Craig Bobier told The Akron Hometowner as he began his last week at the Akron Post Office. “Fishing. A little hunting. Gardening.”

“I want to first thank God for blessing me with a great career in the Postal Service,” said Bobier, who started in June 1984 in Sioux City. After about two years there, he became Westfield’s postmaster where he served for the next 18 years. His last 10.5 years have been behind the counter at the Akron Post Office.
