Not only does Santa receive children’s handwritten letters but he receives their wish lists via email on Mrs. Claus’ iPad.

In addition, Santa receives reports on both “nice” and “naughty” kids.

The last two weekends Santa and Mrs. Claus visited with children of all ages at the Akron library.

Some children’s desires were easy to fulfill such as Frozen movie character dolls and toys but others took Santa a couple of days to figure out such as the little tyke who wanted a bicycle (and she pronounced it sounding like plastic ball). Luckily, three-year-old Megan Noll of Akron wouldn’t give up until she got her parents to understand her request, which they promptly forwarded to Santa and Mrs. Claus the next morning.

Some children readily admitted they weren’t perfect angels while others brought long lists of requests.

One special visit was from 88-year-old Richard Knapp of Akron who reminisced with Santa and Mrs. Claus about past Christmases, especially the bicycle Santa brought him one year.

There’s only eight days left until Christmas, and then boys and girls of all ages will find if they were on the “been good or bad” list.

And on Christmas Eve, Santa will still exclaim, “Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good-night!” — just as he was quoted in the 1822 poem, “A Visit From St. Nicholas” written by Clement Clarke Moore.
