Receiving an Iowa FFA Degree is the highest state award a high school FFA member can achieve.

And Brendan Kroksh, son of Randy and Debbie Kroksh of Akron, accomplished that. The Akron-Westfield junior was presented the award at the Iowa FFA State Convention last week.

He has two Supervised Agriculture Experiences: Crop Production and Swine Entrepreneurship.

Kroksh has participated in FFA Subdistricts, Districts, State and National Conventions. He competed on the chapter’s Parliamentary Procedures Team, Livestock Judging, and Conduct of Meetings Team.

Kroksh has served as the chapter’s treasurer, vice-president and currently serves as the chapter’s 2018-2019 president.

In addition to FFA, he is active in A-W Concert Choir, Jazz Choir, Chamber Choir, National Honor Society and plays basketball.

Kroksh is a member of the Adaville United Methodist Church.
