Morningside College will present “Fiddler on the Roof” at 7 p.m., Friday, Aug. 10 and Saturday, Aug. 11, in the Buhler Outdoor Performance Center, 3625 Garretson Ave., on the college’s Sioux City campus.

The free performance will be part of the Betty Ling Tsang Summer Fine Arts Series at Morningside College.

“Fiddler on the Roof” is a Tony Award-winning musical set in Russia in 1905. A father of five daughters tries to maintain his family and Jewish religious traditions as outside influences encroach upon their lives. The musical features songs like “Tradition”; “If I Were A Rich Man,” ; “Matchmaker”; and “Sunrise, Sunset.”

“With a multi-state cast, this will be an incredible show to end the season. I know you won’t be disappointed,” said Randy Peters, artistic director for the Summer fine arts series.

The Betty Ling Tsang Summer Fine Arts Series is named for the late Betty Ling Tsang, a 1940 Morningside College music graduate. It is designed to bring free, quality music, and theatre performances to residents of the Sioux City area.
