Verdell and Donna (Klemme) Swanson of Alcester, SD. will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married October 31, 1962 at Brule Creek Lutheran Church, rural Elk Point, SD. Their children are Lisa (Jon)Schafer of Kansas City, Kansas; Karen Gary McCrill of Akron; and Greg (Paula) Swanson of Mitchell, SD. They have eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Verdell and Donna will be celebrating with a family dinner.
