On Nov. 2, at 1:40 p.m., the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office investigated a motor vehicle accident that occurred on County Road B-40, one and one-quarter miles west of Sioux Center.
Kris Rozeboom, age 32 of Hawarden, was driving a 2001 Ford F-250 pickup pulling a 2012 Maxi-Mixer 4500 feeder wagon westbound on County Road B-40. The wagon began swerving, causing it to roll onto its side and separate from the pickup.
No injuries were reported.
The Ford sustained about $1,000 in damages. The Maxi-Mixer wagon sustained about $2,000 in damages. The roadway, maintained by the Sioux County Engineer, sustained about $500 in damages.
The Sioux County Sheriff’s office was assisted by the Sioux Center Police Department.
Deer-vehicle accident
On Nov. 4 at 8:15 a.m., the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office investigated a motor vehicle accident that occurred on Iowa Highway 12, two miles south of Hawarden.
Jose Topete-Duarte, age 39 of Hawarden, was driving a 2009 Chrysler Sebring southbound on Iowa Highway 12 when a deer entered the roadway and the two collided.
No injuries were reported.
The Chrysler sustained about $3,000 in damages.
