The Akron-Westfield FFA chapter held their meeting for the month Sunday November 11 at 7:00 PM.

At the meeting, a Christmas party was discussed and a date was set for December 2. The party will consist of a dessert bar and multiple activities afterward.

The members who attended the National Convention in Indianapolis gave feedback as to how the trip was. Everyone seemed to be satisfied with the experience except for when Adam Kroksh realized he had left his cell phone at a restaurant an hour after they had left. The cell phone was luckily recovered and mailed back to Adam.

It was voted on and decided that the FFA will be giving gifts to a family in need during Christmas in conjunction with the Mid-Sioux foundation. This has been a annual tradition for the FFA over the years.

The FFA will be holding a canned food fundraiser competition between the four classes. The class that brings in the most food items will receive an undetermined prize.

CDE’s (Carreer Development Event’s) were discussed and the sign up board was posted.

The November meeting marked the end of fruit sales for the FFA chapter. Early results indicate that the chapter had a successful fundraiser and will meet the goal originally set which was $18,000.
