Hawarden councilors held a public hearing and approved the sale of land at their Nov. 14 meeting.

The land is at Avenue H and Seventh Street. The parcel, 55 feet by 400 feet, was sold for $1,500 to Joe Degen. The vote by councilors was 5-0.

No public input was received prior to or at the hearing.

“It is a parcel which we can’t get access to but he (Degen) can,” said Hawarden Administrator Gary Tucker.
