Three-fourths of Akron-Westfield high school students have earned an Honor Roll achievement.
That is what Grades 7-12 Principal Derek Briggs told school board members at their Nov. 12 meeting.
In fact, 76.3 percent achieved the honor the first nine weeks of this school year. That’s 122 out of the 160 high school students.
Briggs noted 25.6 percent, or 41 students have a 4.0 Grade Point Average (GPA). An additional 45 students, or 28.1 percent, earned between 3.5 and 3.99 GPAs as well as 36 students, 22.5 percent, have GPAs between 3.0 and 3.49.
He presented a historical overview of Akron-Westfield students’ Honor Roll achievements for the past eight years.
