Edna A. Willer Hueser of Fountain City, TN, passed away Friday, December 7, 2012, at Tennova North Knoxville Medical Center. A celebration of life service was held December 11, 2012, at the Fountain City United Methodist Church officiated by Rev. Randy Frye, Rev. Dan Ogle, Rev. Melissa Smith, and Dr. Dan Kelly. Family and friends met at Greenwood Cemetery December 12, 2012, for graveside services. Active Pallbearers were Jeremy Treadway, Jared Hueser, Bailey Hueser, Rob White, Craig Holtzclaw, Travis White, and Trevor Coppock. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Fountain City United Methodist Church. Gentry Griffey Funeral Chapel and Crematory will be in charge of all of the arrangements. Edna was a member of Fountain City United Methodist Church, the Christian Fellowship Sunday School Class and the United Methodist Women Circle No. 1. She was a past Worthy Matron of Starlight Chapter No. 463 of the Order of the Eastern Star and a member of the Fountain City Sportsmen’s Club.

Edna was born August 23, 1925, in Akron to Henry P. and Ruth E. Willer. She attended Akron High School, graduating in 1943. She married Vernon L. Hueser on August 3, 1947, and moved to Knoxville, TN, where Vernon played on the University of Tennessee football team. She was employed by the Atomic Energy Commission and Paper Paraphernalia.

Edna is survived by daughter and son-in-law Diane and Bill Treadway; sons and daughters-in-law Mike and Julie Hueser, David and Betty Hueser, Tom and Chastity Hueser; son Jeff Hueser; grandchildren Jami and husband Mike Baker, Jenny and husband Jason Wightman, Jeremy and wife Keri Treadway, Jared and wife Candace Hueser, Katie Hueser, Nick Hueser, and Bailey Hueser; and seven great grandchildren. Edna is also survived by sister-in-law Lois Willer of Akron and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, Vernon; sister Alma W. Buys; and brothers Harry L. Willer and Lloyd A. Willer.
