Authorities turn to Crime Stoppers to solve area burglaries

Le Mars police are asking for helping solving several business burglaries over the past month.

On Dec. 8, Taco John’s restaurant on Iowa Business 75 South in Le Mars was broken into at approximately 3 a.m. An unknown suspect used force to enter the rear door. Once inside an undisclosed amount of cash was taken.

On Dec. 19 during the early morning hours, Northwest Iowa Auto Center on Iowa Business 75 North was broken into. Suspect used force to open one of the doors. Once inside an undisclosed amount of cash was taken.

On Dec. 19 in the early morning hours, Bob’s Drive-In on Iowa Business 75 South was also broken into. Force was used to enter one of the doors but nothing was reported missing.

In addition to these burglaries, the police departments of Storm Lake, Remsen, Akron and Orange City also observed a rash of break-ins.

Anyone with information on the Le Mars or surrounding area burglaries is encouraged to call their local law enforcement agencies or Crime Stoppers.
