St. Patrick’s Church Knights of Columbus Council No. 12448 coordinated its annual local Free Throw Shooting Competition for 10-13 year old boys and girls at Akron-Westfield Community School.

First and second place winners move on to the district meet Feb. 17 at West Sioux in Hawarden.

Boys’ District Qualifiers

• 10-year-olds Division: first, Sam Mullinix; and second, Hunter Walkingstick.

• 11-year-olds Division: Daytona Foley and Levi Hemmelrick.

• 12-year-olds Division: Trenton Frerichs and Brandon Tentinger.

• 13-year-olds Division: Quinton Hoffer and Bobby Jo Grimm.

Girls’ District Qualifiers

• 10-year-olds Division: first, McKenna Van Eldik; second, McKenna Moats.

• 11-year-olds Division: Jaden Harris and Isabelle Fegley.

• 12-year-olds Division: Courtney Waterbury and Brynn Van Eldik.
