4-H Judges’ training set for March

Throughout the state of Iowa judges training is being offered to new and also experienced judges.

The training is being held in five different locations starting in March.

The first few hours are about building knowledge and skills for judges. The afternoon consists of project area and content specifics. The judging training will teach judges how to focus on educating, evaluating, and encouraging the process for 4-H members.

New judges will the opportunity to practice directly with youth and learn the skills they need to be an effective judge.

Experienced judges will be able to update their resources and knowledge of certain project areas.
