A-W reports its association expenditures

Iowa school districts must report the organizations they belong to and what it pays and receives from each.

At their Dec. 10, 2012 meeting, Business Manager Jodi Ryan reported the district belonged to the following:

• Iowa Association of School Business Officials:

PAID: dues, $100; and conferences, $220;

RECEIVED: $0.

• Iowa Association of School Boards:

PAID: annual membership dues, $3,874; conference/registrations, $60; convention registrations, $950; subscriptions/services, $950; Safety Group Insurance Program, $90,557; Iowa Joint Utility Management Program (IJUMP), $16,691.72; and Online Payment Processing (PaySchools), $1,094.98;

RECEIVED: Safety Group Insurance Dividend, $7,438.62; and Iowa Schools Joint Investment Trust (ISJIT), $14.93.

• Iowa School Finance Information Systems:

PAID: ISFIS subscriptions, $1,244.51; background checks (What’s Their Background) $206;

RECEIVED: $0;

• School Administrators of Iowa:

PAID: annual membership dues, $2,327; conferences/registrations, $1,085; convention registration, $375; and

RECEIVED: $0.

All total during the Fiscal Year 2012, ending June 30, 2012, A-W paid to these organizations $119,735.21 and received $7,453.55.
