Every day the members of the AW kitchen staff serve AW students food, clean up after them, and sell healthy snacks out of the kitchen.

So what does the kitchen staff think about the AW high school students?

“We’ve found the high school students to be very polite, kind, and courteous when they come through the lunch line,” said kitchen staff member Tami Small.

The cooks say that they frequently hear phrases such as “Thank you”, “No thank you”, and “Yes, ma’am” when high school students are going through the line.

The cooks also add that the students make them feel appreciated and are very kind to them, pointing out that very few kids do not say thank you to them when they return their trays after they are finished eating..

The kitchen staff is also very appreciative of the fact that students have said very little about the new lunch menu, and have adapted to it very well.
