Westerners’ 2012-2013 statistics

Akron-Westfield boys’ basketball team statistics for the 2012-2013 season are as follows.

The team finished the season with a 2-20 overall record.

Chance Hoffman was the leading scorer with 158 total points, 7.2 points per game average on 62-of-215 all field goal attempts, twos and threes. He made 5-of-37 three-pointers. He was 29-of-71 from the free-throw line. He led the team in rebounds with 160, led in assists with 35, had 35 steals and led with 17 blocked shots.

Tavian Banks was the second-leading scorer with 126 points, or 6.0 points per game. He made 41-of-146 all field goal attempts, 15-of-51 for three-point field goal attempts only, and was 29-of-47 free throw attempts. He had 40 rebounds, 34 assists, 16 steals and three blocked shots.

Nathan Sanchez finished with 126 points, 6.0 points per game average. He made 41-of-139 all field goal attempts, 8-of-40 three-point field goal attempts only, 15-of-43 free throw attempts. He had 35 rebounds, 16 assists, 35 steals and two blocked shots.

Kevin Carlson topped the 100-point mark with 104 points. He made 40-of-82 all field goal attempts, missed one three-point field goal attempt, was 24-of-46 from the free-throw line. He had 72 rebounds, 22 assists, a team-best 37 steals and three blocked shots.

Caleb Colt scored 92 points, 4.2 points per game on 29-of-115 all field goal attempts, and led with 16-of-53 three-point filed goal attempts only and made 18-of-27 free throw attempts. He had 29 rebounds, 10 assists, 21 steals and one blocked shot.

Kyle Schroeder, the team’s lone senior, had 65 points, 3.1 points per game, on 24-of-52 all field goal attempts, 17-of-41 free throw attempts, second with 86 rebounds, 7 assists, 16 steals and one blocked shot.

Joel Brenner scored 61 points, 2.8 points per game on 25-of-86 all field goal attempts, 3-of-16 three-point field goal attempts, 8-of-23 free throw attempts. He had 48 rebounds, 6 assists, 6 steals and 6 blocked shots.

Jacob Neubrand scored 41 points, 1.9 points per game, on 17-of-68 all field goal attempts, 3-of-27 three-point field goal attempts, 4-of-9 free throw attempts. He had 20 rebounds, 21 assists and 6 steals.

Alex Foley had 14 points, 0.6 points per game, on 5-of-16 all field goal attempts, 4-of-12 free throw attempts. He had 27 rebounds, 5 assists, 6 steals.

Wyatt Heyl scored 11 points, 1.0 points per game, on 4-of-16 all field goal attempts, 1-of-6 three-point field goal attempts, 2-of-4 free throw attempts, 5 rebounds, 3 steals.

Tanner Coyle scored four points, 4.0 points per game (one game played), 2-of-4 all field goal attempts, 1 rebound.

Devon Myers scored four points, 1.3 points per game, on 2-of-5 all field goal attempts and had 2 steals.

Team totals were 785 points, 35.7 points per game average, 292-of-944 all field goal attempts twos and threes, 51-of-231 three-point field goal attempts only, 150-of-323 free throw attempts The Westerners had 523 rebounds, 156 assists, 183 steals and 33 blocked shots.
