WS singer heads to Des Moines

West Sioux senior Rachel Nilson will be singing the National Anthem at the boys’ state basketball session at 1:00 p.m., March 6 at the Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines.
This is the second time she has been chosen to sing the National Anthem at state competition as she did so at wrestling last year.
Nilson is one of many West Sioux students to sing the National Anthem at home contests.
Nilson’s vocal teacher is Jim Gullickson.
