By 3 p.m. Feb. 21, a great many snowflakes were hitting the ground and piling up fast, cancelling all Thursday evening activities and most of Friday’s as it was still snowing at 9 a.m. Friday. Akron-Westfield Community School was closed on Friday. More snow showers were expected Tuesday and Wednesday of this week and for Tuesday, March 5.
