Over the past seven months the GFWC/IA Friendship and Service Club has worked side-by-side with the Akron-Westfield sports teams of softball, volleyball, and basketball to raise money for cancer.

During the events that took place, over $1,500 was raised. All of these proceeds were donated to the June E. Nylen Cancer Center in Sioux City.

The members of the club would like to thank the sports teams and the school for allowing us to partner with them in raising funds for this cause.
