There’s still a chance to see dolls from pre-Civil War to the 1960s Marx Best of the West collection at the Akron Area Museum.

Carolyn Clark of Le Mars loaned her mother’s Negro doll for this special two-week display. She’s hoping someone in the area may know some facts about the more than 75 years old doll. Her mother was Arlene Davis of Kingsley.

The last chance is from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m., this Saturday, March 23 at 601 Main St. in Akron.

Dolls include cornhusk dolls, paper dolls, Effanbee dolls, bridal dolls, and much more.

People came from as far away as Rochester, Minn., to see the museum’s doll display.
