student reporter

Chancellor Gant, son of Robert Gant and Kelli and Phil Burell, was born August 20, 1994 in Sioux City.

Chance has one sibling, an older brother Kyle Gant.

Chance is sometimes called “Chanee”, “Gant”, or “Ganster” by his friends.

“Gant’s” favorite sport is football; his favorite movie is Iron Man; and his favorite saying is, “Happy, happy, happy,” from Duck Dynasty.

When “Ganster” was younger he imagined himself as an astronaut.

“Chanee’s” most memorable moment so far is getting an award for best cheerleader during wrestling when he was a sophomore.

Chance’s favorite pastimes are playing sports and spending time with his family.

The person who has inspired “Gant” the most is his grandpa, Robert Gant because he was always there when he needed him.

While in high school, “Chanee” has participated in football, wrestling, and track.

Chance’s greatest achievement is being named honorable mention for football.

“Chanee” is currently employed at Hy-Vee.

If “Ganster” could give any advice to underclassmen, it would be, “Actually try every year of high school.”

If “Chanee” could relive one moment of his life, it would be playing football his senior year with all of his teammates and friends.

What Chance likes most about high school is being with his friends.

“Gant’s” biggest regret about high school is not trying his freshman year.

Chance’s favorite reason for not turning his homework in on time is, “I forgot it at home.” He does not have a favorite excuse for being tardy because he is never tardy.

While in high school, Chance’s favorite class has been Math Analysis with Mr. Mike Baker because he and Mr. Baker share cans of BBQ or Original Pringles.

After high school, Chance plans to attend Iowa State University to study engineering.
