The Akron Westfield FFA chapter held their meeting for the month of April, Sunday, April 7 at 6:30 PM.

It was discussed and decided that the FFA would host a Food for America program later this spring where elementary kids would be invited to attend.

It was discussed and finalized that there will be ten people attending the Iowa State convention to be held in Ames, Iowa April 21-23. Students attending will be participating on many different levels, including, competion, choir involvement, courtesy cooperation, building the chapter board, and all members attending will participate in a fighting hunger campaign in which food will be packaged and sent to the less fortunate.

It was decided at the meeting that there would be a summer retreat for those members with the highest points totals. The trips date is yet to be determined.

The FFA decided to once again host Ag Olympics on the final day of school. This is always a fun way for all high school students to get involved and to celebrate before getting out of school for summer break.

April was also the first meeting that the newly elected officer team was in charge of leading the meeting.
