Plymouth County supervisors set a public hearing on a loan agreement in a principal amount not to exceed $2,250,000 at their April 23 meeting.

The public hearing will be at 10:00 a.m. on May 14 at the Plymouth County Courthouse Supervisor’s Room.

The loan will pay for work at County Roads C-38 and K-42 and Fifth Street in Merrill and will be a General Obligation (GO) bond. Ruan Securities is the county’s bond consultant.

“The GO bond issue saves about $295,000 in interest over the Tax Increment Finance bond option,” said Auditor Stacey Feldman.

Plymouth County supervisors meet each Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. at the first floor board room of the Plymouth County Courthouse, 215 Fourth Ave. SE, Le Mars. Meetings are open to the public.
