Lexi Hageman finished in fifth place in the 800-Meter Run.

The 4×100-Meter Relay team of Robyn Peinke, Jaclyn Smith, Katie Coyle and Katie Johnson placed sixth.

Desi Oltmanns, a sophomore, had a strong effort in the High Jump.

“She also runs a relay but her main focus is on the High Jump,” said Akron-Westfield Head Coach Eric Walkingstick.

The Shuttle Hurdle Relay of Trisha Frerichs, Sydney Pridie, Taylor Myers and Alex Franker placed sixth.

A-W was at the War Eagle Conference Girls Track and Field Meet April 30 at West Sioux.

“We’re looking forward to the opportunity to run again. It’s getting close to the end and we’re trying to get to qualifying for state. The girls have been practicing hard and have stayed focused,” said Walkingstick.

A-W is at the West Sioux co-ed meet May 2. The Lady Westerners are at the Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn co-ed meet May 6 in Marcus. The State Qualifying Meet is May 9 at West Sioux.
