As mentioned in a previous edition of the Westerner Review, “Wiffle ball is a safer version of baseball.” It turns out that this is not the case.

In a recent game of wiffle ball being played by the high school PE class, wiffle ball went all wrong. After a student hit the ball and safely ran to base, PE instructor Mr. Eric Walkingstick harmlessly stepped on the bat being used and broke his foot. In true Walkingstick fashion, he tried to walk off the injury, but was unable to do so.

After using crutches for a while, Coach Stick will recover from the injury and return to form.
