4-H Foundation serves WHO Tractor Ride

On June 24, there will be 537 tractor riders and support staff in the 2013 WHO Radio Tractor Ride will converge on Le Mars and make the Le Mars Convention Center parking lot their noon lunch break.

The Plymouth County 4-H Foundation will be serving a lunch from 11:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at the Le Mars Convention Center, lower level as a fundraiser for the newly formed 4-H Foundation.

The BIG SHOW will be broadcast live that day from the location.

“As an addition to the noon lunch 4-H fundraiser, a John Deere and Case IH twin size quilts will be raffled off,” says Carol Schneider, Plymouth County Extension Coordinator. “The quilts were pieced, quilted and donated to the 4-H Foundation by Virginia Freyermuth of Le Mars. They will have great appeal that day by the tractor riders and their families who follow the ride.”

The noon lunch on June 24 is open to the public and features a Pork Producer Pork Chop in a Glove, beans, chips, a Wells Blue Bunny Champ® Ice Cream Cone and beverage for $7.00. A lunch ticket needs to be purchased by June 21 at the Plymouth County Extension Office located at the Le Mars Convention Center. The Extension Office is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am till noon and from 12:30-4:30 pm. Phone 712-546-7835 for more information on the lunch.
