Dana Hedlund pitched the first five innings as A-W scored nine runs to grab the 9-0 win against the West Sioux Falcons on Thursday, June 6. Kayla Tindall threw the last two frames and went six up and six down. Hedlund held the Falcons to three hits as she never let a Falcon runner past second base.
A-W put nine hits to score the nine runs. The big blow came off of the bat of Bailey Davis as she belted one over the left center field fence. Davis had two hits plus drove in four runs. Also leading the Westerners were Kortney Hedlund, Haley Coyle and Katie Johnson, who also had two hits each.
A-W scored four times in the first inning putting together three hits plus one Falcon error. A-W followed up with four more runs in the second on three hits to give A-W an 8-0 lead. A-W scored one in the third to close the scoring for the Westerners. A-W record now stands at 11-0.
