WS reports enrollment gain of 24 students

West Sioux Community School District saw a preliminary count of 24 more students in 2013-2014 than the same time the previous year when enrollment figures are reported to the state.

West Sioux had 763 students as of Oct. 1, school officials said. This compares to 739 students a year ago.

This year, for Kindergarten, there were 31 girls and 39 boys for 70 students; in Grade One, 30 girls and 29 boys, 59; Grade Two, 38 girls and 21 boys, 58; Grade Three, 27 girls and 33 boys, 60; Grade Four, 27 girls and 29 boys, 56; Grade Five, 30 girls and 23 boys, 53; Grade Six, 31 boys and 31 girls, 62; Grade Seven, 20 girls and 33 boys, 53; Grade Eight, 24 girls and 30 boys, 54; Grade Nine, 17 girls and 18 boys, 35; Grade 10, 22 girls and 23 boys, 45; Grade 11, 24 girls and 19 boys, 43; and Grade 12, 20 girls and 22 boys, 42.
