The Akron Opera House is offering something new on our stage for the season opener on Saturday, Oct. 12.

“Dinner 4 Two” will bring improvisational comedy to entertain the audience.

The nature of improv comedy is “lightning in a bottle,” with moments that can never be repeated because everything is made up in the moment. The audience shares the creative process and will even be active participants in the fun.

“Dinner 4 Two” is a fast paced trio of talented improv performers who have been entertaining audiences across the country for over 10 years.

With a combined total of over 60 years of theater experience and several acting and directing awards, these performers take that experience and turn it into brilliant and crisp improvised comedy.

While “stand-up” comics work with a set routine, “Dinner 4 Two” works through a series of games where they use audience suggestions and participation which makes their show different each time they perform.

Lindsay Washburn, Rick Myers and Wayne Blum, who make up this talented trio have performed for the Catholic Church, high schools, night clubs, corporate parties and for our troops in Fort Leonard Wood which makes them very versatile and able to adapt to any group they are put in front of.

You can check out some of their show on YouTube video website under DINNER 4 TWO IMPROV COMEDY.
