On Thursday, Oct. 17, the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office investigated a motor vehicle accident that occurred on a residential driveway at 142 1st Ave., Chatsworth.
Upon further investigation the sheriff’s office found that the accident actually occurred at 4:25 p.m., Oct. 16.
Sharon Puhl, age 45, of Chatsworth, was driving a 1995 Buick Le Sabre eastbound on her driveway when she struck Devin Bravo, age 45, of Chasworth, who resides at this location. Bravo reported that he was briefly pinned between the Buick and another vehicle that was parked on the driveway.
Bravo sustained injuries and sought medical treatment on his own on Oct. 17. He was later transported to Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City for further treatment of his injuries.
The accident remains under investigation.
2 Arrested; face drug charges
Leopoldo Martinez Jr., age 23, of Hawarden, was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver methamphetamine and delivery of methamphetamine on Oct. 20 in Hawarden.
Kimberly Saucedo, age 27, of Sioux City, was charged with possession of controlled substance with intent to deliver methamphetamine on Oct. 20 in Hawarden.
Martinez and Saucedo were arrested as a result of an ongoing drug investigation. The arrests were made after a traffic stop at 12:03 a.m., Oct. 20, at the intersection of Avenue I and 17th Street in Hawarden.
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Hawarden Police Department.
Tyler Sjaarda, age 19, of Ireton was charged with failure to appear on Oct. 21.
