Powder Puff Football Champions Crowned

The annual powder puff football and volleyball games were held Sunday, October 13th in the evening.

The night started off with the girls’ powder puff football game between the seniors and freshmen. The seniors pulled through with the first victory of the night. Next up were the sophomores and juniors, with the juniors coming out on top in a high scoring game. The losers bracket consisted of the freshmen and sophomores, with a win by the sophomores. The championship game between the juniors and seniors was a hard fought battle, going into overtime with the seniors winning it all. The standings were as followed: seniors 1st, juniors 2nd, sophomores 3rd, and freshmen 4th.

The boys’ powder puff volleyball was next with the seniors and freshmen playing first. The seniors won in a landslide victory. The game with sophomores versus juniors resulted in a junior victory. The winner’s bracket played first with seniors winning it all. The standings were as followed: seniors 1st, juniors 2nd, sophomores 3rd, and freshmen 4th.

Senior, Trevor Hansen, a referee for the football, commented, “It was fun to watch the girls attempt to figure out the plays. They were extremely competitive.”
