Hawarden library hosts paranormal program

Hawarden Public Library is planning several programs for November. These include:

• “Paranormal of Iowa” is a unique program focusing on several individuals who do paranormal research in Iowa. This program will be from 7 to 9 p.m., Nov. 14 at the library. The show is recommended for ages 12 and above.

• Tech Tuesdays are offered from 1 to 5 p.m. each Tuesday. Residents can ask staff questions about their Nook, Kindle and iPad. Also, one can learn how to download books, music and more.

• Preschool Story Hour will be on Wednesday mornings, Nov. 6 to 21, from 10:30 to 11:10 a.m. Children, ages 3 to 5, are invited to hear stories, learn songs, do a craft and have fun.

• Movies will be shown at 1 p.m. each Thursday at the library.

• Hawarden Public Library Board of Trustees will meet for their monthly business meeting at 5 p.m., Nov. 19. Meetings are open to the public.

• The library will be closed for Veterans Day, Nov. 11; Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 28; and for carpet cleaning Nov. 29, reopening at 10 a.m., Nov. 30.
