A-H girls down Lady Falcons in close game

The Alcester-Hudson girls’ basketball team paid a visit to West Sioux for a non-conference clash and came back with a 58-47 win Jan. 21.

Junior Rylee Negaard scored 21 points and Amanda Mace tallied 11 for the Lady Falcons. Negaard also had seven rebounds, four assists and three steals.

Senior Carly Dekkers scored five points and had seven rebounds.

WS fell to a 3-11 record after the loss.

Jenna Rehder: 4 points, 2-of-10 all field goal attempts, 0-of-2 three-point field goal attempts, 0-of-4 free throw attempts, 1 rebound, 3 assists, and 3 steals.

Tayler Liston: 1 steal.

Allyson Westra: 0-of-1 field goal attempt, and 2 rebounds.

Negaard: 21 points, 9-of-17 all field goal attempts, 3-of-7 free throw attempts, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals.

Mace: 11 points, 4-of-16 all field goal attempts, 2-of-6 three-point field goal attempts, 1-of-2 free throw attempts, 1 assist and 1 steal.

Callie Schmidt: 6 points, 3-of-3 all field goal attempts, 0-of-2 free throw attempts, and 2 rebounds.

Dekkers: 5 points, 2-of-7 all field goal attempts, 1-of-1 free throw attempt, 7 rebounds, 1 steal and 1 blocked shot.

WS team totals: 47 points, 20-of-54 all field goal attempts, 2-of-8 three-point field goal attempts, 5-of-16 free-throw attempts, 8 assists, 9 steals and 1 blocked shot.
