A-W boys’ hoops final statistics

Final 2013-2014 Akron-Westfield boys’ basketball statistics include a 4-19 record season (1-9 War Eagle Conference).

The Westerners’ statistics are the following:

• Tavian Banks, named All-WEC Honorable Mention, was the leading scorer with 252 points, 12.2 points per game average on 93-of-241 all field goal attempts (tied for first in makes), 44-of-120 three-point field goal attempts, most threes made on team, 26-of-47 free-throw attempts, 72 rebounds, 19 assists, 11 steals, and 6 blocked shots.

• Joel Brenner scored 227 points, 10.3 points per game average, on 93-of-229 all field goal attempts, tied for first for makes; 0-of-7 three-point field goal attempts, 41-of-75 free-throw attempts, most made, 122 rebounds, 21 assists, 15 steals and 8 blocked shots.

• Wyatt Heyl scored 118 points, 5.4 points per game, on 36-of-126 all field goal attempts, 17-of-76 three-point field goal attempts, 29-of-41 free-throw attempts, 73 rebounds, 22 assists, 15 steals, 13 blocked shots for most on team.

• Caleb Colt scored 117 points, 5.3 points per game average, on 41-of-129 all field goal attempts, 13-of-54 three-point field goal attempts, 22-of-36 free-throw attempts, 34 rebounds, 18 assists, 11 steals, and 1 blocked shot.

• Kevin Carlson scored 113 points, 5.1 points per game average, 42-of-86 all field goal attempts, 29-of-54 free-throw attempts, 134 rebounds for most on team, 33 assists, 31 steals for most on team, and 4 blocked shots.

• Cal Eskra scored 78 points, 4.3 points per game average, on 28-of-83 all field goal attempts, 10-of-36 three-point field goal attempts, 12-of-21 free-throw attempts, 36 rebounds, 48 assists for most on team, 13 steals, and 4 blocked shots.

• Jacob Neubrand scored 74 points, 3.5 points per game average, on 26-of-90 all field goal attempts, 11-of-45 three-point field goal attempts, 11-of-12 free-throw attempts, 24 rebounds 5 assists, 2 steals, and 1 blocked shot.

• Alex Foley scored 34 points, 1.8 points per game average, 9-of-17 all field goal attempts, 16-of-22 free-throw attempts, 24 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals, and 1 blocked shot.

• Devon Myers scored 17 points, 1.3 points per game average, on 5-of-23 all field goal attempts, 0-of-2 three-point field goal attempts, 7-of-13 free-throw attempts, 13 rebounds, 21 assists, 18 steals and 1 blocked shot.

• Nathan Sanchez scored 16 points, 2.3 points per game average, on 8-of-17 all field goal attempts, 0-of-2 three-point field goal attempts, 0-of-4 free throw attempts, 13 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals.

• Tanner Coyle scored six points, 1.5 points per game average, on 3-of-11 all field goal attempts, 5 rebounds, 8 assists, 2 steals, and 1 blocked shot.

• Austin Allard scored six points, 0.6 points per game average, 1-of-2 all field goal attempts, 4-of-7 free-throw attempts, 6 rebounds, 1 steal and 1 blocked shot.

• Brandon Hansen was 0-of-3 all field goal and three-point field goal attempts.

• Aaron Allard had no statistics.

A-W team totals were: 1,062 points, 48.3 points-per-game average, on 385-of-1,057 all field goal attempts, 95-of-345 three-point field goal attempts, 197-of-354 free-throw attempts, 547 rebounds, 218 assists, 130 steals, and 41 blocked shots.
