Security National Bank Market President Connie Blake announced the hiring of a new personal banker.

Stacy Heydon of Akron has replaced Melea Nielsen, who resigned and is now Akron’s city clerk.

Heydon’s first day of training was Feb. 18 in Sioux City. Her first day at the Akron bank was March 3.

Heydon is a Sioux City native who graduated from North High School in 1986. She worked as an Emergency Medical Technician in Danbury for eight years and most recently was a finance manager for a Sioux City auto dealership.

In the early 2000s, she and her husband, Justin, moved to Westfield and two years ago they moved into Akron.

They have two daughters: Jordan Wood of Akron who is a certified nursing assistant at Hudson Care Center and plans to study nursing this fall at Southeast Technical Institute in Sioux Falls. S.D.; and Jessen Wood, who is an Akron-Westfield junior.

When Heydon isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with her family. She currently enjoys following Jessen’s dance pursuits through the Akron-Westfield Danz Squad and Depot Dancers. Heydon also enjoys bowling.

Stop by Security National Bank and meet Heydon.
