Peterson played defensive wing for the squad and worked hard, said Head Coach Dave Legarde.

His team’s record was 34 wins, 18 losses and three ties, four tournament wins and three second-places in tournaments.

“We started in October. All the kids worked hard and picked up the things I was teaching them,”
said Legarde of Sioux City.

Peterson has been playing hockey since he was 6 years old.

A championship at the Detroit Lakes, Minn., tournament was a highlight for the squad. The season ended with a tournament in Omaha, Neb., March 8, in a 3-2 overtime loss to the home team.

The Bantams are players under age 14, and Grades 7-9. After the Bantams, players can move up to the Metros for high school age players.
