Falcons fall to Hawks; end regular season

West Sioux’s baseball team finished the regular season with an 11-12 record following an 8-1 loss to Remsen-St. Mary’s on July 10.

The Hawks led 5-1 after five innings. The Hawks were seeking to become the War Eagle Conference champions and they added three more runs in the sixth.

West Sioux scored its run in the fourth inning.

Falcons statistics

Porter Hummel had a 3-for-4 game at the plate.

Kezden Blankenship was 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Justin Negaard was 1-for-3 with one double.

Tucker Vander Feen was 1-for-3.

Mitch Schlumbohm was 1-for-3 with one run scored.

Vander Feen took the pitching loss as he pitched six innings, giving up 12 hits, two walks and struck out one.
