A Primary Election was held June 4 in several states including Iowa and South Dakota voting for state and county officials. Polls opened at 7 a.m. in both states with a low turn-out expected. At Alcester in Union County, SD, at 8:30 a.m. only eight had voted and in Akron, by 9 a.m. 15 had voted. Working the Akron polls, front row (l-r) Nancy Nielsen and Pam Von Hagel.
