Legion works to relocate flags for Memorial Day

Supervisors increase compensation for election officials

The Plymouth County Board of Supervisors approved compensation for its precinct election officials through 2030 at its Tuesday, April 29 meeting.

Legion plans for Avenue of Flags program

Each year at the Memorial Day program, the Albert E. Hoschler American Legion Post 186
dedicates flags from late veterans into the Post’s Avenue of Flags.
While families still own the dedicated flags, they are stored at the American Legion flag building
and are posted in Riverside Cemetery on each Memorial Day, weather permitting.
As of this year, there are 517 veterans represented in the Avenue of Flags, and that number
grows each year.

Fatality victim identified

The individual who died as the result of a single-vehicle accident on Thursday, April 10, has been identified.

The Plymouth County Sheriff’s Office identified the victim as 43-year-old Wesley Webb of Sioux City.
