Memorial Service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 31, 2024, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Akron. A Celebration of Life with lunch and refreshments will immediately follow at the Akron Fire Station.

Mrs. Ellene Deets, age 86, of Orange City, passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2024, surrounded by her five daughters.

A visitation was held on Friday, August 2, at the Oolman Funeral Home in Orange City. There was a funeral service on Saturday, August 3, at the American Reformed Church in Orange City.  The Rev. Dr. Verlyn Boone officiated. Interment took place at the West Lawn Cemetery in Orange City.

Stanley Lowell Koch, age 89, of Rochester, MN, passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at home surrounded by his loved ones.

Judith Joan Dirks of Northfield, MN, left this earth to be with the angels on July 1, 2024. A celebration of Judy’s life will be held on a date yet to be announced, at Bethel Lutheran Church, Northfield. Interment will take place in Northfield Cemetery. An additional celebration of life will take place in her former home town, Akron, Iowa, later this summer.
