The No. 10 ranked Akron-Westfield Westerners improved to a 4-1 record after pounding the Le Mars Gehlen Catholic Jays, 36-7, in Le Mars Sept. 22.

Double feature fall fun will be coming to the Plymouth County Historical Museum in Le Mars this Saturday, Sept. 30, when a Le Mars author and veterinarians of Plymouth County are in the spotlight at the Museum’s Study Hall.

About 100 Legionnaires and Auxiliary members will be arriving in Akron the evening of Oct. 6 to attend the American Legion Ninth District Fall Conference, which will be held Saturday, Oct. 7.
