All-Class reunion update

About six alumni and one high school volunteer met July 17 to address labels and put stamps on over 800 “Save the Date” postcards for the 2025 reunion. Notifications were only sent to classes 1945-1980.

Hopefully by now, individuals are receiving their postcards and putting the dates on their calendars.

Paper Barn no longer accepting papers

The Akron Lion's Club is egretfully ending its paper recycling project after over 40 years. During that time it is estimated that around 1,000 tons of paper was kept from the landfill by this program, aided by the community, A-W FFA, and Heyl Trucking.

The Paper Barn is in need of major repair and the recent flood further damaged it and the paper it contained. There has also been a major decrease in the amount of paper received.
