The Akron FBC youth hosted a Valentine’s youth fund-raiser dinner Feb. 12 at the church. Those attending enjoyed a delicious candlelit meal served by the youth. 

LifeServe Blood Center is holding a Blood Drive in Akron Tuesday, March 5, 7:30-10:30 a.m. at 241 Reed St. (behind Security National Bank).

LifeServers can commit to saving lives on a regular basis – whole blood donors can donate every 56 days.

The cast for the Akron Opera House production of “Jersey Boys” has been announced. There are 31 cast members (some play several roles) in the musical which will be presented April 11-14.

You have probably noticed that Central Valley Ag (CVA) in Akron has been removing one bin along Highway 12. The future plan is to remove all three of the bins as soon as possible, hopefully in early March.
