April is celebrated worldwide as Global Child Nutrition Month, an initiative emphasizing the importance of proper nutrition for children. 

Depth and experience are two of the reasons for optimism when it comes to the 2025 track & field season for the Akron-Westfield girls team.

The Akron-Westfield boys track and field team has plenty to be excited about this season. It starts with the brand-new outdoor track which paid dividends even before the first meet.

The 2025 Akron-Westfield boys golf team may have a different look, but first year head coach Steven Husk believes they will have an opportunity to continue the streak of sectional championships.  The Westerners have won their sectional three straight seasons and finished second in the state in Class 1A in 2024.
